Natalia Portillo has become maybe the Pasadena City College women's soccer team most impactful incoming freshman. The 5-foot-10 Portillo from West Covina High made 12 saves, many sensational stops to help the Lancers earn a 0-0 tie at Santa Monica College on Friday.

The tie allowed the Lancers to remain undefeated at 3-0-2.

Portillo has three shutouts to her credit this season and with help from the PCC defender corps she has allowed only two goals in the five games with a brilliant .926 save percentage.

It was PCC's second scoreless tie of the season, also fit to be tied on Aug. 30 in a match at Bakersfield.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Coach Terryn Soelberg's Lancers return to Robinson Stadium for a non-conference game v. Citrus College. Kickoff is 4 p.m.
