Michael Petersen placed 12th overall in the 100-yard breaststroke event, allowing the Pasadena City College men's team to score team points at the 3C2A State Swimming and Diving Championships held May 2-4 at Orange Coast College.

Petersen swam a time of 58.37 seconds and his five points put PCC on the team standings board, taking 29th place overall.

It's the sixth straight season going back to 2017 (no state meets due to pandemic in 2020, 2021) that the Lancers have scored points at the state meet.

The PCC swim season officially came to an end as head coach Terry Stoddard finished his 24th season in charge of the aquatics program.
