Women Swim's Emily Wang Three 2nd Places At ECC Triple Distance Meet

Pasadena City College women's swimmer Emily Wang placed second in all three breaststroke events at the 4th El Camino Triple Distace Meet held Friday.

Wang had the second fastest times in the 50-yard breaststroke (38.61 seconds), 100 (1:23 flat), and 200 (3:03).

Jemma Wernberg scored seventh in the 100 freestyle (1:15.99), Yahaira Martinez placed ninth (1:19.92) and Genesis Rojas 11th (1:22.45). 

Martinez took eighth in the 200 freestyle (2:53.18) and Wernberg was ninth in the 50 freestyle (34.27).

PCC placed sixth of the seven scoring teams at the meet, won by Bakesfield. 

On Friday, Feb. 28, Coach Terry Stoddard's Lancers begin the South Coast Conference dual meet season when they host Rio Hondo College. The meet takes place at the Lancers off-campus site--Polytechnic School in Pasadena at 10 a.m.
