For the first time in two seasons, the Pasadena City College women's swim team collected a South Coast Conference dual meet victory, defeating Rio Hondo, 94-39, at Polytechnic School's pool on Friday. The previous victory was also at PCC's off-campus pool v. Chaffey nearly two years to the day in 2023.

Emily Wang won three events, hitting the wall in first place in the 100 (1:24.90) and 200-yard breaststroke (3:05.64) plus the 200 individual medley in 3:00.75.

Elyssa Guevara captured two event victories in the 50 (32.39) and 200 freestyle (2:34.68).

The 200 medley relay won uncontested behind Genesis Rojas, Wang, Guevara and Jemma Wernberg in 2:34.22.

At the Mt. SAC Invitational on Saturday, Wang was 33rd overall in the 200 breaststroke in 3:06.95.

Wang and Rojas were honored in a pre-meet ceremony celebrating the PCC sophomores in 2025.

Next Friday, Mar. 7, the Lancers participate in the Riverside City College Invitational.
