Pasadena City College women's track and field runner Olivia Ruiz won the 800 meters by nearly 10 seconds faster than the rest of the field as she raced in front of home fans in the Pasadena Open held Feb. 22 at Robinson Stadium.

Ruiz ran a fast time of 2:22.94. The Lancers, coached by Innocent Egbunike, hosted teams from El Camino, Cerritos, Long Beach City, Southwestern and San Bernardino Valley Colleges. Ruiz was the Lancers All-South Coast Conference cross country runner in the Fall of 2019.

Victoria Rae Chandler won the 3,000 steeplechase, albeit in a race by herself as the only entry, with a time of 15:45.29

Imani Martin placed third in the 100 meter dash in 13.93 seconds. Justice Spurgeon was fifth in the shot put (6.74 meters) and sixth in the discus throw (25.07m).
