Lancers women's volleyball sophomore libero Grace Crawford, Pasadena City College's all-time digs leader for a career and one season, will continue her education/playing career at NAIA University of Saint Katherine in San Marcos.

Crawford became the first Lancer to reach 700 digs, finishing with 709 over her two seasons (2017 and 2019). She also broke the school's single-season record for digs with 394 as a top defensive player for PCC's #23 state-ranked team.

From Pasadena High, Crawford averaged 4.15 digs per set this past season when she named All-South Coast Conference Second Team. Over her two seasons, she added 59 service aces and 102 set assists as her talents went beyond just defense. As a freshman, she was a strong defensive specialist on the Lancers 2017 SCC North Division champion squad under PCC head coach Mike Terrill.

Crawford twice recorded 30 or more digs in a match, a feat only matched by one other Lancer--Samantha Flores in 2015. She also helped the Lancers reach the postseason in both of her years.

At USK, Crawford will play under the guidance of head coach Eryn Leja, who is also a product of the CCC playing level at College of the Desert before becoming a successful head coach at Vanguard University and serving recently as an associate head coach at NCAA Division I Houston Baptist University.
