Pasadena City College sophomore opposite/setter Shaylee Ungos was one of three student-athletes across California named CCCWVCA State Player of the Week after her performance in the Lancers' opening two victories on Aug. 23.

Ungos was solid in two PCC sweeps over Cypress and Grossmont as she delivered 14 kills, hit .355, dished out 20 assists, made 11 digs, five blocks and four aces.

The letterman made news as well as the team itself as Pasadena is #9 on the just released CCCWVCA State Top 25 Rankings.

Ungos and the Lancers are directed by head coach Mike Terrill.
