Women's Volleyball Star Biko Hollie Named CCCWVCA State Player of the Week

Pasadena City College women's volleyball sophomore transfer outside hitter Biko Hollie was selected as the CCCWVCA State Player of the Week #8 with two other players.

Hollie is the second Lancer this year to receive the award after Shaylee Ungos earned one in the opening week of the season.

Hollie, a 5-11 talent who came to PCC from NCAA Division I Morgan State University, has become the Lancers top offensive weapon as a 6-rotation player.

A product of Venice High in Los Angeles, she totaled 49 kills and 30 digs in three matches this past week. She scored a season-high 25 kills with 12 digs and two blocks in the Lancers 4-set loss v. Mt. San Antonio on Oct. 9. She hit a sparkling .524 (13 kills) in PCC's victory over Citrus at the LA Mission Tri tourney on Oct. 11.

Hollie is averaging 3.6 kills, 2.9 digs per set, and her 272 total points lead the Lancers.
