PCC's Givens, De Young, Proctor Make All-SCC Women's Water Polo

Fresh off its best season in eight years at 14-12 overall, the Pasadena City College women's water polo team placed three players on the 2015 All-South Coast Conference Team.

Sophomore utility player Ariahn Givens, the school's single-season and all-time steals leader, and freshman goalie Clarque De Young, whose 7.24 goals against average was the best ever by a PCC netminder, were picked All-SCC First Team while frosh attacker Kyrsten Proctor (Temple City High), who scored 58 goals and led the Lancers in assists with 38, made Second Team.

Givens, from Venice High, scored a team-high 60 goals and her 147 steals were second in the SCC. De Young (South Pasadena HS) made 205 saves and is the first Lancers goalie to record as many as three shutouts in a season.

Freshman utility Irma Sarac (46 goals), sophomore 2-meter Sharon Perez (30 goals) and sophomore driver Megan Mora received conference honorable mentions.

PCC is coached by Terry Stoddard, who recently served as event manager at the CCCAA State Water Polo Championships hosted here on November 20-21.
