Far From A Run-Of-The-Mill-anponce Cross Country Racer

Pasadena City College women's cross country runner Franceska Millanponce keeps adding to her medal count this year as she took 10th place overall at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational held October 14. Millanponce ran a solid 19:02.9 over the Mounties' 3-mile course.

Millanponce, a sophomore, helped the Lancers place 11th out of 17 teams and she was among 126 total runners. She has placed in the top 10 in three different meets and figures to finish very high at the upcoming South Coast Conference Championships to be held October 28 at Legg Lake Park in South El Monte. 

Ramina Padashi Fard took 23rd at the Mt. SAC meet with a time of 19:44.8. The Lancers next runner didn't make it in until 95th with Andrea Sigala at 24:19.8. Noemi Diaz placed 100th (25:08.7), Alyssa Villagracia took 107th (25:55.6), and Kandice Kwan was 114th (27:12). 

College of the Sequoias won the team title with COS runner Alyssa Block winning the race in 18:19.8.
