In a year with injuries and short numbers, the Pasadena City College women's cross country team ran as a 4-runner squad for the final time in 2022 on Friday at the South Coast Conference Championships.

The Lancers did not score as a team as Mt. San Antonio won the team title at the 5-kilometer Palos Verdes Course. Injuries to Sophia Manfre and Maria Jimenez left the team short-handed.

Freshman Alejandra Penaloza (from Pasadena High) was the fastest Lancer as she placed 34th with a time of 27:32 in the 44-runner field.

Sophomore Jessica Coffin scored 36th (28:18) and 2-year letterman Estrella Camacho-Rodriguez ran 37th (29:25.6). Freshman Chelsey Argueta took 43rd (31:17).

No runners qualified for the SoCal Championship thus ending the '22 season for the squad.
