John Seixas starred as an end on the 1929 and 1930 Pasadena Junior College football teams and as a guard on the '30 basketball team. He went on to play on USC's national championship team of 1932 that won a battle of unbeatens in the Rose Bowl over Pittsburgh, 35-0. In his two seasons for the Trojans, the football team went 20-1-1. A versatile athlete, he also played on USC's ice hockey team as a team captain.
