Baseball Can't Finish Off Glendale, Lose Playoff Series, 2-1May 08, 2018Things were looking good for the #12 seed Pasadena City College baseball team. Right up to the eighth inning Saturday. After splitting the opening two games of a SoCal Regional First Round series at higher #5 seed Glendale, the Lancers took a 5-1 lead after six innings of their elimination third game. Even after the Vaqueros cut it to 6-5, PCC put up its second 5-run inning of the game in the top of the eighth to take a commanding 11-5 lead.

Garkow Finishes What He Starts, Baseball Blanks CerritosApril 09, 2018It took 27 days for Nathan Garkow to close his own victory. But the three innings he pitched on Monday didn't go down as a save because it simply added to the six innings he threw back on March 13. Add the six and the three and Garkow finished with a 5-hit, complete-game shutout as the Lancers completed a rain-halted game from last month, beating Cerritos, 6-0, at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

The unranked Lancers battled for nine innings, then used Edward Manzo's 2-RBI double in the 10th frame to snap the Falcons' string in a 6-4, South Coast Conference victory.
