    Sophomore transfer forward McKay Anderson was the only Pasadena City College selection on the 14-player, All-South Coast Conference Men's Basketball Team for 2016-2017. Anderson led the Lancers in scoring at 18.8 points a game to go with 9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals averages.
  • Barnes Burns Nets With Shooting Show In Men's Basketball Finale

    Todd Barnes was a shooter on fire in the Pasadena City College men's basketball team finale at East Los Angeles College Friday night. Barnes ended his PCC career in a flourish by making 11-for-12 from the field, including his last 10 shots in a row, in scoring 30 points in the Lancers' 89-75 loss to the Huskies.
  • Men's Basketball Pulls Out 64-61 Home Finale Triumph

    It was beginning to look like the Pasadena City College men's basketball team would join visiting and last place Rio Hondo in the cellar of the South Coast Conference North Division. The Lancers were down 61-53 with just 3:39 left in their home finale, but Dejon Williams and Eris Winder teamed up to combine for the game's final 11 points as PCC won 64-61 at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

    Dejon Williams came off the bench to score 17 points to lead five Pasadena City College men's basketball players in double figures as the Lancers downed host Rio Hondo, 73-62, Friday night. The South Coast Conference North Division victory snapped a 6-game losing streak for PCC.

    The Pasadena City College men's basketball team ran into a buzz saw Wednesday in the Chaffey guard duo of Kameron Curl and Brian Beard Jr. Beard was a wizard on the passing end while Curl's hot touch from long range resulted in him making nine 3-point baskets as the state No. 17-ranked Panthers defeated the Lancers, 100-75, in a South Coast Conference North Division game at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

    One way to look at Wednesday's 82-75 loss to visiting LA Trade Tech was to view it as just another defeat in a tough 5-13 start thus far. But the Lancers, playing without three key players, found some of their bench players contributing their best performances this season in the South Coast Conference North Division opener at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

The Lancers were eliminated in two close games at the Chaffey Challenge Tournament Jan. 6-7 that leaves their overall record at 5-12.

    The Pasadena City College men's basketball team ends the 2016 portion of this season knowing it will need to find some consistency during 2017 and South Coast Conference North Division play. The Lancers are 5-10 overall after a 1-2 performance at the round-round, Imperial Valley Tournament played Dec. 28-30.

    After collecting 86 points in three games at the College of Sequoias Tournament, Pasadena City College forward McKay Anderson has established himself as one of the top scorers in the state this season. Anderson is at No. 4 overall among qualified players at 21.1 points a game.

    Eris Winder sank two free throws with three seconds left to give the Pasadena City College men's basketball team a 78-76 win over Long Beach City College in the consolation final of the West LA Wild West Shootout Tournament on Saturday. Winder, a sophomore transfer from Las Vegas, came off the bench to score 23 points, including 16 in the second half.
